Dentures & Partials
At our Houston dental practice, we offer a wide range of restorative dentistry for our patients. To create the best set of dentures possible, we perform a comprehensive examination, create impressions for study models, take necessary X-rays, take a bite impression, and take photos to ensure that we get the right fit and look for your new teeth.
Traditional dentures are made of a gum-colored base attached to prosthetic teeth and consist of two distinct types: complete and partial. Complete dentures can be used to replace an entire arch of missing teeth, and they are typically held in place with natural suction or denture adhesive.
Partial dentures are commonly used when natural teeth still remain in the upper or lower jaw. To hold the partial denture in place, small metal clasps are attached to the adjoining natural teeth. They can be especially useful in keeping the remaining teeth from shifting into the space left by the missing ones.
If you're in need of dentures--partial or complete--please contact us for a denture consultation. We can discuss your options and help you decide the best treatment path for your unique situation.
